UAW

Lee's Little Learners has built a relationship with the local UAW hall.  The UAW has been kind enough to let us use their gymnasium for gross motor activities.  Monthly playgroups at the UAW hall will be scheduled on the Lee's Little Learners calendar.

Excellent Eggs!

Just before spring vacation there was an egg-themed playgroup held. The children and their families colored hard-boiled eggs with markers, made Easter baskets filled with grass, jelly beans and peeps, created shakers filled with rice and colored Easter-themed coloring pages. The group was "egg"specially enjoyed by all!

Spring Sunshine

On April 16, the sun was warm and Lee's Little Learners took to the playground for its weekly playgroup. The children had the opportunity to search for seashells in the sand, play with dinosaurs, blow bubbles, play on the equipment, string beads and build Lego structures while enjoying the warmth of the sun!

SchoolCenter Picture Down on the Farm! SchoolCenter Picture

Lee's Little Learners and their parents had a farm-inspired playgroup. They had the opportunity to make a barn to put their own animals in, play with the wooden barn and animals, make a soft, fuzzy sheep and tell stories with farm-inspired flannel board pieces. What a great way for parents and children to learn about the farm!

This playgroup afforded parents and children the opportunity to get right into it and make a mess. As evidenced by the photographs, the children had a great time exploring the shaving cream that was placed in tubs in the classroom. They were able to work on fine motor skills by placing pegs in peg boards and play with the farm animals and the barn.
