Field Trips
Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park On Wednesday, July 9, the Lee's Little Learners families ventured out to the Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park to visit the new farm exhibit. The children and their parents had the opportunity to experience farm life in the early twentieth century. A wide variety of activities was provided for the families including: cultivating vegetables, visiting a farm stand, hanging up laundry on a line and viewing early twentieth century farm implements.
In February, 2009, several Lee's Little Learners families had the opportunity to visit the YMCA. They learned about healthy eating, toured the facility and got to spend some quality time together in the pool!
YMCA In April 2009, Lee's Little Learners had the opportunity to go back to the YMCA to learn about healthy eating and exercise. Families enjoyed playing in the Strive Center and in the pool.
YMCA Lee's Little Learners traveled back to the YMCA for one final trip and had a great time splashing in the pool. The families were happy to be able to experience and explore the downtown YMCA over the course of the spring.
