Ahoy Mateys! Lee's Little Learners kicked off the summer with a hunt for buried treasure and all things lurking deep within the sea. Pirates were invited to create their own map where "X" always marks the spot, dig for hidden treasure in the sand, create telescopes, make pirate hats, decorate a treasure chest, hear pirate stories and sing songs about the sea. A snack of decorated octo-dogs and juice was enjoyed by all.
Fun and nutritious snacks was the focus of a two week session of Lee's Little Learners. The children and their parents learned about making tortillas, as well as, pancakes. Everyone enjoyed eating their creations! All of the steps of food preparation and safety were discussed from the planning, hand washing and cooking to the cleaning of the dishes and tools used at the end of the meal.
